Is Betty Casino Legit and Safe?
On this page
Yes, Betty Casino is legitimate. Its site, betty.ca, appears on the official operator lists of iGaming Ontario and Alberta iGaming Corporation. Betty Gaming CA Ltd. runs it from Toronto.
The larger risk is not Betty. It is the many imitation sites that copy its name, so always check the address.
| Province | Regulator | Official list | How Betty appears |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario | iGaming Ontario, regulated operators | "Betty Gaming CA, Ltd". Casino, Bingo. Links to betty.ca |
| Alberta | Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission | Alberta iGaming Corporation, registered sites | "Betty Casino". Casino. Links to betty.ca |
Is Betty Casino licensed in Canada?
Betty.ca is licensed in Ontario and Alberta, the two provinces with open markets for private online casinos. In each one, a regulator registers the operator and a government body lists approved sites. Betty is on both lists.
A site on these lists must follow provincial rules on fair games, player funds, identity checks and safer-gambling tools. If Betty broke them, the regulator could fine it or remove it.
Betty.ca is not licensed in any other province. See betty.com vs betty.ca for how the brand works elsewhere.
How can you check Betty’s licence yourself?
You do not need to trust this page. The check takes about three minutes, and you can repeat it for any casino.
- Ontario: open
igamingontario.caand find the list of regulated operators. - Look for “Betty Gaming CA, Ltd”. Confirm the link goes to
betty.ca. - Alberta: open
abigaming.caand select Registered iGaming Sites. - Look for “Betty Casino”. Confirm the link goes to
betty.ca. - Compare your browser’s address bar with
betty.ca, letter by letter.
Always start from the regulator’s site, not from a link in an email or advert. That way a fake site cannot send you to a fake list.
Who operates Betty Casino?
Betty Gaming CA Ltd. operates betty.ca. Its registered address is 199 Bay Street, Suite 4000, Toronto, Ontario M5L 1A9. The company says it was founded in 2022.
A named legal entity with a Canadian address matters. It tells you who holds your money and who answers to the regulator. Sites that hide their operator deserve less trust.
Are Betty’s games fair?
Betty says its slots use a random number generator, or RNG. An RNG is software that makes each spin independent of the last one, of your history and of your bet size. Betty also says independent third-party labs test the games regularly.
Betty does not name those labs. Several review sites say the tester is eCOGRA. We found no Betty page that confirms it, so we list the lab as not confirmed.
The provincial rules require tested games in any case. Each slot also shows its return to player in its rules screen. Our Betty slots guide explains how to read it.
Is your money and data safe at Betty?
Betty applies the controls that provincial rules expect. Here is what its own pages state:
- Identity checks. You must verify your identity before you deposit or play.
- Own-name payments. Withdrawals go only to a card or account in your name.
- Login protection. A code is required on a new device or location. You can add it to every login.
- One account each. Duplicate accounts are restricted.
- Complaints process. Betty aims to resolve complaints in 14 days, with 90 days as the limit.
Betty does not publish technical details such as its encryption standard. Some review sites quote specific figures. We could not trace them to Betty, so we leave them out.
Which Betty Casino website is the real one?
For Ontario and Alberta, the real site is betty.ca. Nothing else. A separate site, betty.com, serves other provinces under a different operator and licence.
Any other domain using the Betty name is not the casino. That includes this guide. We are an independent information site, and we say so at the top of every page.
How do you spot a fake Betty Casino site?
Imitation sites are common for this brand. When we searched for “Betty casino login”, the first page of results was made up of look-alike domains. Use this checklist.
| Check | Real betty.ca | Imitation site |
|---|---|---|
| Address | betty.ca exactly | Extra words or hyphens: "casino", "canada", "official", "login" |
| Games described | Slots, plus bingo in Ontario | Live dealers, blackjack, roulette, sports betting |
| Payment methods | Interac, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay | Crypto, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal |
| Phone support | None listed | A phone number to call |
| Regulator named | AGCO or AGLC | None, or an offshore licence |
| Where you can join | Ontario and Alberta only | "All of Canada" or other countries |
| Bonus claims | Shown only on its own site and app | Large headline bonuses in search results |
One mismatch is enough to stop. Close the page and type betty.ca into the address bar yourself. If you already entered a password on a doubtful site, see what to do after a fake login page.
Fake apps exist too. Our Betty app guide lists the genuine seller name and package ID.
Are BettySweeps and Betty Wins the same as Betty?
No. They are different brands that happen to share a first name. Searches for “Betty casino bonus” often return these two instead of Betty.ca.
- BettySweeps is a sweepstakes site aimed at the United States.
- Betty Wins is a separate casino brand at a different domain. Its site blocked our request, so we could not read its operator or licence.
We found no link between either one and Betty Gaming CA Ltd. Offers, logins and accounts on those sites have nothing to do with betty.ca. Neither appears on the Ontario or Alberta lists we checked.
Is Betty Casino legal outside Ontario and Alberta?
Betty.ca does not offer real-money play outside Ontario and Alberta. Its location check blocks games elsewhere in Canada. Betty.ca is not offered in the United States.
Trade press reports a separate UK launch in June 2026 under the same brand. That is a different site from betty.ca and outside the scope of this guide.
What we could not confirm
We list these openly so you know the limits of this page.
- AGCO registration number. A number appears on several review sites. We did not open the AGCO registry entry, so we do not print it.
- Testing lab names. Betty says “independent third-party labs” without naming them.
- The AGLC registry row. The AGLC website returned errors on each attempt. Alberta status is confirmed through the Alberta iGaming Corporation list and Betty’s own pages.
- Encryption details. Not published by Betty.
