Betty Casino Alternatives in Ontario and Alberta

On this page

Look beyond Betty if you want sports betting, poker, table games or live dealers. Betty offers none of them. Both provinces publish official lists of registered sites, and many cover those gaps. Every site named on this page comes from the iGaming Ontario or Alberta iGaming Corporation list, with the products each list shows.

How this page works. We name only sites that a provincial body lists. We compare product types, because the lists publish those.

We do not compare bonuses, since advertising them is restricted in both provinces. We have no referral arrangement with any site named below, and the names are not links.

Why look for an alternative to Betty?

Betty is narrow on purpose. That leaves five clear gaps.

What Betty does not offer
GapDetail
Sports bettingNo sportsbook in either province
PokerNo poker room
Table and live dealer gamesNo blackjack, roulette, baccarat or live studio
Payout methodsInterac and Visa only. No e-wallets
Phone supportNo phone line listed

If none of these matters to you, Betty may be all you need. Our Betty Casino review sets out who it suits.

How we chose these alternatives

We used one rule. A site must appear on the official list for its province on October 5, 2026. That keeps offshore and unlicensed sites off this page.

The lists show product categories. Ontario’s uses Casino, Poker, Sports Betting, Bingo and Betting Exchange. Alberta’s uses Casino and Sportsbook.

Neither says if a casino has live dealers or table games. For those, you must check each site yourself.

We list sites in alphabetical order. The order is not a ranking.

Which licensed Ontario sites cover what Betty lacks?

Betty holds one category that most of these do not: Bingo. Few Ontario operators are listed for it.

If you want sports betting, most names above qualify. If you want poker, the list shows 888, BetMGM and FanDuel from this sample. If you want live dealers, the list cannot tell you. Open the casino’s site and look for a live section before you register.

Which licensed Alberta sites cover what Betty lacks?

Alberta’s market opened on July 13, 2026. Its list is shorter and uses two categories.

Several brands run a casino site and a separate sportsbook site. Bet365, Caesars, FanDuel and theScore each appear twice for that reason.

Alberta’s list has no Poker or Bingo category. Betty does not offer bingo in Alberta either. For the rules that apply to all of these sites, see Betty Casino rules in Alberta.

Decision tree: if you want only slots, Betty fits. If you want sports betting or poker, choose a listed site with that category. If you want live dealers, check each casino's own site.
Start from what you want to play.

What does Betty do better than most alternatives?

A fair comparison runs both ways. Three points stand out in Betty’s own published terms.

If slots are all you play, a wider casino may add clutter without adding value. See what you can and can’t play at Betty.

How do you check any casino’s licence?

Use the same method for every site, including the ones above.

  1. Go to the provincial list yourself: igamingontario.ca or abigaming.ca.
  2. Find the brand.
  3. Follow the link from the list to the casino.
  4. Check that the address in your browser matches.

A site that is not on the list is not regulated in that province, whatever its home page says. The full walkthrough is in Is Betty Casino legit?. Ontario details are in Betty Casino rules in Ontario.

Should you hold accounts at more than one casino?

You can. Many players keep a slots account and a sportsbook account. Before you do, consider three things.

Set a limit at each site on the day you open it. The tools at Betty are described in Betty limits, timeouts and self-exclusion.
